Applications for Custom Cable Assemblies
We customize cable assemblies for many applications. They typically include service disconnect, portable equipment interconnect, power disconnect, factory automation / sensors and more.
Variations
- Single ended assemblies:
- Blunt cut, removal of jacketing, strip and tinning of conductor(s)
- Board level connector or terminals (ring, spade or quick connect)
- Overmolded grommets on non-connector end
- Double ended, multiple legs or "T" assemblies
- Discrete backshells
- Overmolded backshells
- Customer specified cable / cable construction
We welcome the opportunity to design and manufacture custom cable assemblies for your specific application.
Contact termination styles: Depending on your requirements, we have the capability to terminate the conductor to the contact using crimp or solder technology.

Design Process
iCONN will redesign an existing product or create a new design providing solutions that are reverse compatible or proprietary to each customer application. All engineered solutions provide enhanced product performance while providing a cost effective alternative. We employ a “customer first” process as follows:
- Review customer’s design for material or process cost enhancements
- Review customer’s manufacturing process and develop product changes to enhance throughput
- Total connector design or redesign
Operations
Our engineering, manufacturing and assembly operations are strategically located, globally, to provide the necessary quality and cost levels to compete at every level of product needs.
iCONN can produce complicated to basic engineered products along with low to high volume requirements. We employ lean manufacturing techniques providing diverse and flexible cell manufacturing processes. We also utilize an Immediate Turn Around Cell (iTAC) to support low volume, quick turn or prototype requirements.
