Posted by Rick Regole on January 20, 2014 | Updated on October 12, 2016

In order for iCONN SYSTEMS, LLC to comply with the Section 1502 of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act suppliers are required to report and identify the existence of any conflict minerals (tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold) in products they manufacture or contract to manufacture.  In order to respond to iCONN SYSTEMS, LLC’s information requests, suppliers may need to make similar inquiries of their suppliers as a means to investigate the source of materials in their products, and to provide iCONN SYSTEMS, LLC with the requested information based upon the results of such inquiries.  The report must identify the country of origin of any conflict minerals, whether the conflict minerals came from scrap or recycled sources, whether the conflict minerals came from a covered country (Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Central African Republic, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Uganda), whether the conflict minerals from the covered countries directly or indirectly finance armed groups, and their process for determining and verifying the information they’ve provided.  It is highly recommended that suppliers utilize the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template available through the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition and Global e-Sustainability Initiative (EICC/GeSI) website (www.conflictfreesmelter.org).

If there are any changes to the supply base suppliers are to amend their report and disclose the revised report to iCONN SYSTEMS, LLCiCONN SYSTEMS, LLC reserves the right to request any additional information on Conflict Minerals associated with the Subcontractor or Purchase Order necessary to comply with this legal requirement and the supplier will make good faith efforts to provide the requested information.

It is iCONN SYSTEMS, LLC’s intention to take reasonable steps to ensure that the components and materials in our products, regardless of where they are assembled or sold, do not contain conflict minerals which have contributed to the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries. If any product you supply to iCONN Systems, LLC is found to contain conflict minerals please advise as to which part numbers are affected.
