iCONN wins Intellectual Property case

Posted by Rick Regole on Mon, June 24, 2013

Pedersen & Houpt represented iCONN Systems, LLC to a successful resolution in its recent lawsuit with Conxall Corporation.  In 2008, Conxall brought charges against iCONN and six employees for misappropriation of trade secrets.  Four of the individual defendants were also sued for breach of contract relating to confidentiality.

Our firm was retained by all of the defendants in 2011.  The Pedersen team, led by Stan Sneeringer and Marc Janser, meticulously reviewed the evidence, including over 100,000 documents, and conducted extensive computer forensics.  The five-week trial involved 24 witnesses, including six experts, and thousands of designated exhibits.

Plaintiff claimed eight figures in compensatory and punitive damages, but the 12-person jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendants on all counts.
